Attached is the updated list of public procurement bills that have been introduced so far. Several are duplicate bills and I've tried to call that out in the descriptions. Please let me know if there is one that you know of that I've missed and I can add it moving forward.
Please watch the latest action column to see where a bill is in the process. HB 2084 has already been scheduled for a Public Hearing for this coming Thursday.
Several people have asked what they should be doing now in the session, and here is my advice:
1) Identify the bills that are going to be most impactful for you and your agency.
2) Follow those bills by going to the bill overview link in the spreadsheet. On the bill overview page, register to get updates for the bill (its the e-subscribe link in the top right corner). This way you'll be the first to know when a bill has changed status in the legislative process.
3) Consider providing written or oral testimony on the bills most impactful to your agency. Getting ahead of this is important as public hearings come up fast and its easy to miss the opportunities. My opinion is you can have the most impact at the FIRST public hearing of a bill. After that, most bills seem to gain momentum. So if it's important, weigh in early.
